Bitting clinic experiences?

Here’s an article about a bit fitting clinic we had with Kim Gentry. She brings several different brands.

I’ve never done one, but would certainly give it a go if someone came to the immediate area. I have several friends who have worked with Kim Gentry with great success.

Interesting! I looked up one of her clinics - cost is $140 to $250/horse, depending on the number of bits available. I’ll be perfectly honest, I could NEVER fill up a clinic for bit testing at that cost:no: Not unless people got a credit toward buying a bit (aka free if you buy). Bummer, it is a great concept…

Do both Kim Gentry and Stephanie only have NS bits in their collections?

Kim has NS, Sprenger, and the Lorenzini titanium bits.

Do you have contact info for her clinics?

What seemed cool about Kim’s clinic is that even though she only had a couple pricey brands, there was no pressure to buy and she shared all the information with you. So you had the option to order from her at a later date or shop around for a deal/something similar in a different brand.

Stephanie was very much the same! I totally went in thinking it might be a big sales pitch for pricey bits, but totally felt like she let the horse tell you if there was a need for a new bit, and zero pressure to buy. But when you feel how transformed the horse is with the right bit, trust me, you’ll feel it’s worth every cent!

Just bumping up to see since when this thread was started, what people’s opinions and experiences are with the Gentry clinics?
