Black and White days of hunting.

wouldn’t be great to know more about the people and the places? I would love to hear the stories that went with the photos. Lord and Lady Armstrong were holding hands. How rare was that during those times? they must have been very much in love. Are the children your family or theirs? What happened to your grt grandfather’s arm? That’s a story in it’s self. He obviously did a grand job inspite of it. Could you explain the ceremonial garb? Are they holding crowns? if so, did they ever put them on? I’m fascinated!

What a treat! Thank you so much for sharing! I love old horse photos and the family connection is so neat! I wish that the old photos could talk

Your welcome

What a wonderful treat! Thank you so much for sharing these.

I can’t get over how much His Lordship’s stable yard is exactly unlike my barn lot in every detail. Uncanny.
LOL! Your welcome, and our yard is just as neat not!

wouldn’t be great to know more about the people and the places? I would love to hear the stories that went with the photos. Lord and Lady Armstrong were holding hands. How rare was that during those times? they must have been very much in love. From what I can gather from my Mum they were completetly in love. Are the children your family or theirs? The children were their relatives, their is one that is of my mum holding a hound puppy. What happened to your grt grandfather’s arm? Nobody seems to know a fall maybe? That’s a story in it’s self. He obviously did a grand job inspite of it. Thank you very much, not only were the horses amazingly turnout but so were they as grooms too. Could you explain the ceremonial garb? I think as Lord and Lady they have to have a passing out ceromony and have to wear the garb, I will check that. Are they holding crowns? if so, did they ever put them on? I’m fascinated!
I will try to answer your questions in a little more detail when I have spoken to my Mum.

Excellent pictures. Thoroughly enjoyed them.

Thanks for share !!! So great !
