This is truly a textbook case for how to get out from under the financial responsibility for someone else’s horse, by following good procedure and sticking to one’s guns.
Of course all of us hope for the best for the mare, but possibly there isn’t too much to be concerned about, at least not at the present time. The mare seems to go from one decent facility to another. Her needs are being met. The mare has no idea about the drama. Just that the grazing is decent and dinner is served timely and in sufficient quantity. So far, hanging in there on that.
