“Black Horse Nemo.” A beautifully written account of the vagaries of owning a small private pack in the Home Counties back in the day. Lots of gleeful stories that still resonate today about the dodgy characters and quirky horses. You can find it online for a buck or two plus postage.

There are quite a few copies available on Abe books that are reasonable. I got my copy off of eBay for about $14. Still haven’t read it yet though!
