You’ll have to post pics of your BT when you get it. I think both breeds are way cute, but agree the BT seems a bit more suited to an active lifestyle
Be careful and buy from a very reputable breeder. BTs have many genetic problems: Luxating Patella (cost me $2000 on my first BT), epilepsy, juvenile cataracts, cherry eye, just to name a few. Go to a breeder who tests their breeding stock and is willing to share the results…it is important…
I had dobermans for 20 years! Some how I abdicated mentally and ended up with a BT, and hes turned out great! HEs a great farm dog, much more heat tolerant than any of the frenchies I know. Hes hardy, pretty smart… a little too prey driven but managable. Hes a little sensitive to cold as you might imagine, but no hot house flower. The frenchies I know, while lovely dogs, sadly cant compare with the energy and general hardiness of the BT I have.
