BOT Trauma Void Helmet help

I thought back on track made it? Its commonly referred too online as so.
however i cant actually confirm that.

Even the local place ive just discovered have it, are referring to it as “back on track EQ3”

That could explain why there is no back on track ceramics in it tho!

Trauma Void produces it, Back On Track appears to have just been the first major distributor to jump all over it. It is not a BOT product.

Just wanted to echo the other comments in saying that you definitely need to try one on. Based upon their measurement chart, I should have worn a 7, which was weird to start - luckily I went with my gut and ordered my normal size, a 7 1/4, but it was still too tight across my forehead, and perched oddly on the top of my head. I really wanted to like it, but it gave me Bubble Head, just like the One K helmets - it seemed very similar to those.

I wish Charles Owen would get their act together and make more of their helmets with removable liners - the AYR8 fits me great, but I keep it as a show-only helmet since I can’t wash the liner, and I bought it before the AYR8 Plus came out.

I just got one, and I love it. I thought if anything it ran a touch big. i do not fit well in CO or Samshield, so I suspect that it is a matter of head shape.
Trauma Void EQ3 Smooth Shell Helmet was the description. i got it from Smartpak

I tried this helmet last month to replace my old CO. I really wanted to love the Trauma Void EQ3, but unfortunately it did not fit. I went from a CO JR8 to an AYR8 instead. It pinched tightly on my forehead and gapped on the sides, as most helmets do for me. Apparently I will wear CO forever.

I find it interesting that the fit is considered to be comparable to CO, because it definitely did not feel that way to me.

I just got mine this week and am not in love with the fit. I have always worn a 7, and found that too small in this brand. The 7 1/8 fits good enough with my hair down. I was planning to order another to replace my schooling helmet as well, but am now planning to hold off.

I’m not a hard fit either - I’m very happy in a 7 Uvex, Tipperary, Charles Owen or One K.

It didn’t fit like a CO for me, either. Prior to my OneK I had a GR8 and a JR8, which fit great but were just too hot in the summer. Not at all comparable in fit to the BOT hat for me.

This is so super interesting as I went to a shop last week and they had CO (which I havent tried for years) and tried an AYR8 and it also seemed to fit fine. Ive never been a fan of the CO purely due to the lack of vents and I get headachey in heat.
I never managed to catch up with the supplier of the Trauma Void, but ive gone off the idea anyway now.

Everyone here rides in a KEP and im desperately trying to avoid being the same as everyone else.

I still have my OneK, but it has a manufacturing fault and im surprised I havent been picked up at an event with it (though there is a press release from OneK saying its fine, id rather avoid the hassle) plus OneK though sympathetic of my issue, havent been sympathetic enough to replace it because I shipped it in out of country.

Ill try another store on the weekend, they are having a ‘safety’ sale but their discounts are on their ‘home brand’ (basically looks the same as Ovation ones) and I dont like them much either.

Maybe I should try a new AYR8.

I have the BOT helmet and I LOVE IT. Definitely go up a size or two. Trauma Void has excellent customer service, if you order it from BOT and it’s too small contact Trauma Void and they’ll get it sorted for you. I have a baby-sized head and wear a size small One K which I also really like. The small One K I can get my hair up into, but the BOT helmet I read you should not put your hair up in. So I have a One K for showing and my BOT for schooling. My BOT is 56cm if that helps. Yes the chin strap sits in sort of a funny position, but it doesn’t bother me.

Also something to note, the Trauma Void EQ3 comes with two different liners. I tried one on for the first time last weekend since our tack store just started carrying them. The liner that came in the helmet makes for a much different fit than the other one that comes with the helmet. The one in the helmet was a much better fit for me (classic Charles Owen AYR8 head shape, here). The One K long oval is also a decent fit on me. I’d probably have to wear the trauma void around a bit more before I made a decision to purchase it, but one thing I don’t like is that I don’t find it to be very low profile. It’s not mushroom-y per se, but I don’t find it to be very low profile either.

Ive noticed that a lot of manufactures seem to be using basically the same shell
