Bobby Flay! wins Wahoooo!

Victory to Bobby and Stephanie with their More Than Real

Where is Barnfairy and her L&O sound clip?

I NEVER gamble

I live in Missouri so we can’t any way! But I liked Eldaafer;) I have NEVER gotten a winner, even just rooting for them. [As I like to point out in '73 I was on Sham…]So I hate to jinx anyone by saying X is gonna win, but I watch faithfully, and am absolutely clueless about the gambling aspect of it. Having said that, I do reaalllyy reaaallly like Garrett Gomez!

What the heck happened to start a fistfight in the winner’s circle? I didn’t turn on the TV until it was over.

And I’m a little over four hours straight north of Louisville–we’re getting major snow right now, I hope it stays relatively clear?

ugh, Calvin sort of overreacted.

Javier Castellano’s horse cut of Martin Garcia’s horse, Romp. Romp very nearly went down. I think he sort of interferd[?] with Calvin’s horse and Calvin lost it. The announcers can’t stop talking about it. Very bad of Calvin to go nuts like that.
And to Orbit’s mom, Pink Diamond Racing, who I suppose is on horse back, sorry about the old guy. But I am looking for a Purple sparkly butt, and so far haven’t seen it!

DOI, Castellano made one of the worst freaking riding decisions I have ever seen that didn’t kill someone. He went to the outside but he had a very limited path and not enough horse to get clear without causing a major pile up, which he did. Romp, with Garcia up, basically flipped his keester up in the air slamming on the brakes, but somehow got his feet back and someway, somehow, Garcia stayed on. Borel’s horse was impeded very badly and he also seems to have pushed his mount up to Romp to help steady him while Garcia got his crap together.

Borel got off the phone with the stewards and confronted Castellano; he must have said something pretty nasty because Javier tossed a bit of a fist his way, and Borel took that as an invitation to rumble.

What I learned is that I wouldn’t want to be in a fight with Borel unless he was on my side.

And Martin didn’t say a peep to anyone after that almost life-ending journey

Wow. Sounds like an eventful BC so far. I’m not home but hope my DVR is on the job.

As a trivia bite, while I was at WEG, I jumped down the interstate to Louisville one night and took a very extensive tour of Churchill. We were up in the jockeys’ room, and right there by the weigh-out scale, they had a huge (like large screen TV size) blow-up print of the famous picture of the 1933 Kentucky Derby finish with the riders slugging it out. The CD employee giving the tour said that this is right there as the jockeys go out to remind them to keep their tempers and control themselves in the pressures of the moment. Sort of a “thou shalt not . . .” poster. Along with a good dose of “Big Brother is watching you.”

He gets the “Supreme restraint” award for the day.

Seriously a movie based on Mine That Bird? Are they kidding?!

I have a very rough draft on jockey Mary Bacon, who despite her polarizing history makes for an interesting movie in my view. I couldn’t see a flix based on MTB making money. Sorry that’s my view.

Anyhow wishing the best to the Augustin Stables star of old “Informed Decision”

Although I have a very long shot wager on 250+day layoff Gabby’s Golden Gal

Yikes. Maybe Martin’s just still in shock.

And yeah, they keep talking about it but they haven’t had a replay for those of us arriving late! (Fair enough, there probably hasn’t been time.)

Sorry about your money, Glimmer. Still, exciting sprint and big finish for Dubai Majesty!

I can kind of see the point of MTB the movie–his journey to the Derby was rather quirky, to say the least, and he was a big ol’ longshot (seriously, when Tom Durkin takes a six-length gap to realize whoops, you’re in the lead, no seriously…) The other story worth optioning now is Zenyatta, and they probably want to wait to see how that ends first…

I realized I won’t be home for it tomorrow. And you know, I’m glad, I’d probably work myself into a state of nervous exhaustion.

I didn’t have ‘Dubai’ whatsoever so I’m out with my Pick 3 and didn’t make a dime in the 7th. Congrats regardless to the connections. The poor break of Sara Louise ruined me …

ESPN noted that Calvin and Javiar fought another round in the jocks room.

I hope Calvin is on track - focused and ready to go with Tell A Kelly in the JV Fillies!

So Calvin now has a detail of 8 security guards around him? Amazing.

Apparently that’s what it takes to hold him back.

His real name is Bruce Banner.

eh?

Bruce Banner? [[[[[[[[[[don’t get it?]]]]]]]]]]

Bruce Banner was the alter ego of the Incredible Hulk

This is 2010 so there is already on youtube.com a video of the fight

Oh dear. Am stuck at work and haven’t watched anything today. Hope all horses are ok, too.

Very exciting juvenille fillies, nice win for Awesome Feather.

Ziggy,

all horses are ok, [so far as I know, which isn’t very far…]
