I don’t think a foal could end up being that tiny…unless it was a Mini cross. :wink: A friend bred her 16.0 HH Hanoverian mare to our 12.2 HH pony stallion. Vet missed two embryos on the ultrasound and mare ended up having a tiny set of twin fillies. They had no problems reaching up and grabbing on to the milk bar.

I don’t think it matters whether the mare or the stallion is the shorter one. What matters is how prepotent either of them is. Some stallions consistently throw height, for example, and some do not.
