Bridle (noseband) for horse with wide/short face?

My new guy was hard to fit so I bought three used bridles on eBay and cobbled together ONE that fits well. You could go up a size on a bridle to get that noseband length you need. I spent $240 between the three.

OK I hadn’t seen this post. I have an old custom Jerry’s bridle and LOVE that bridle. I will reach out to you later in 2024 and let’s make a bridle for my new guy. The idea of buckles that don’t bother the TMJ area and other fittings matter so much.

This is exactly what I was hoping for! I love that more companies are offering a “mix and match” approach to bridles, but there are still some things that aren’t adjustable - like where the straps attach to your noseband! I’d definitely be interested in hearing when you get some dressage bridles!

It’s too bad that Jerry’s Harness Shop is no longer in business…this is just the sort of thing he could help with and his bridles were gorgeous

Right? My Jerry’s bridle is beautiful and kind of ruins you for others. Beautiful brass buckles, leather that is so high quality and soft yet firm. And do you know it didn’t fit my new guy but was able to use the lower buckles to the bit.

Yes…his bridles were second to none…
