I thought that was what the allen key was for; to take the front of the cage away from the back of the cage in an emergency so an injured body wouldn’t have to be moved.
And if there is a serious neck injury, no matter what the person was wearing, the neck/spine would have to be stabilized before the body was moved.

In EMS, it’s always ‘life over limb’ so opening a person’s airway is always priority #1. Sometimes this involves having to reposition someone. But an EMS crew will always take c-spine precautions when a neck/spine injury is possible.
aha, so you can remove the entire front without repositioning the person. So I assume this is the same as cutting off clothing and traditional vest etc without moving a person with a possible spine injury.
