They say itâs all hearsay and nothing is factual.
Iâm getting awfully sick of the âI gave the horse to some ladyâ thing.
I hear/see that entirely too often.

As long as owners buy the bull**** or donât care, they will continue to get fed these lines by their trainers.
Storm Rising is entered in Suffolkâs 4th race tomorrow for a $4,000 tag. Does this horse have severe tendon issues?

I do not know much about the Storm Rising situation.
Dear Stephanie, I am looking for a few âfreeâ horses.
I will come with my trailer and take as many as you want to âGiveâ me.
I will not ask any questions about soundness issues, do not need to see them jog, or take bandages off, no need for coggins or JC papers, in fact donât even need their names.
I will âTryâ to get them new loving homes with horse crazy young persons or something else maybe a foreign exhange trip.
No paper work or bill of sale or exchange of contact information required.
In fact Iâll call you, no need to have my phone number either.
Thank you in advance for lining my pocketsâŠFondly Forgettable

Penn Gaming Inc. and the Pennsylvania HBPA has seen no reason to investigate the matter any further. The âI forgetâ reason given by Beattie has held water.[/QUOTE]
Are you sure this track isnât being run by the Mafia?
The track is being run by people who know how to operate within a budget while following a corporate line. They do not have any desire or dedication to make the oval a reputable place.
Storm Rising has several hairline cracks of his canon bone. suffolk has been notified about this and apparently see no reason to do anything. I thought these things just happened at Penn. Weâll have to see if the horse actually runs. We have some serious safety issues here that need addressed immediately!
The storm rising issue is easily one of the most negligently handled situations that I have ever witnessed at this dump. Trainer Stephanie beattie transfers this injured, dangerous horse to a known animal abuser. Are we supposed to believe that she exercised due diligence and firmly believed that this horse was going to a good home? Excellent Judgement by this saintly figure that is working on a retirement facility for our horses. It makes me sick that someone could in essence give what could be considered a loaded weapon to someone with a criminal past
Both parties involved should be ashamed beyond belief. If something should happen to that horse or rider I can personally guarantee you that I will make sure that criminal charges are placed against you. [edit] I have no idea how either of you look in the mirror every morning
Oh yeah, and by the way, STEPHANIE,WHERE IS THE HORSE? We have not forgotten
It has been brought to my attention that Todd Mostoller is attempting to assassinate Dick Hertzâs character. Todd, what has Dick done other than tell the truth? iâm sure the entire problem is tied into the Stephanie Beattie mess. you continue to back the trackâs little angel and iâm quite sure you donât have all the facts. you will be the next to have egg all over your face. Besides you have no right to attack anyoneâs character. you have none!! what have you done for the horsemen over the years?? the answer is easy! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Iâm sure most of your days consist of having your daily chat with Mr. Beattie, clock some horses, and then go down to your office to read the racing form. Look at this word, CORRUPTION, there is one difference between Dick and you. He tries to clean it up, you condone it!!
Todd Mostoller is widely recognized among the average horseman as the biggest waste and misplacement of funds that this track has ever seen. He rarely ever walks the backside nor does he usually address the common problems that occur with the regular horsemen, unless it is relatively close to election time. He defines the role of a self consumed politician, serving his own interests first and those with which he shares a vested financial interest or catering to those who can further his over valued career. I am quite confident that he could not walk the backside and name 60%of the people he represents and identify their correlating barns. I suggest that his salary could be better served working FOR the backside population as his position serves little relevance when placed against his lofty salary
I send this final message. Start representing the masses diligently or instead of padding lobbyists pockets you might end up raising funds for childrenâs birthday parties at chuck e cheese. When those you defend Are fully exposed, you will drop to your knees and cry like the cowardly fraction of a man that you really are. I promise you this much
Race 8
Did anyone see race 8 tonight at Penn National? It was a Stakes race and there was a pretty hard bump at the 8th pole where the winner came out. Wondering what people think of the decision to keep the horse up. One may say the winner won by five. Someone else may say the inside horse came out 2 paths quickly and impeded the stride of the runner up.
I have not followed this all along⊠But I might add I had trained a horse last year for owner (and at time, boyfriend) Robert Cole. I won three with the horse. Then he got sent to S. Beattie. I made it clear to Robert I wanted the horse back when she was done with him. One start later he pulled his suspensory. I immediately reminded him I wanted the horse.
We tried to get ahold of Beattie, she wouldnât answer phone calls to Robert even. Three days of this, I finally sent a shipper up to get my horse. Horse had left the day I was told he blew the suspensory. And I was told he went to a woman that they give all their horses to. But that I could not get him back, and that they meet the woman in a parking lot to transfer the horses. I called several rescues that check kill pens. And I believe that horse went to slaughter. Which breaks my heart. He deserved SO MUCH BETTER.
Can I prove it? Nope.

Well, golly, sounds like a pretty SIMILAR story doesnât it ? Let me guess, this is a 4H lady who does not know the horses names and calls them pet names and doesnât care their real name and keeps poor records on where they are adopted out to. Does this lady exist or is she a figment of Beattieâs imagination ? If Beattieâs owners care about their horses when they are done they should each ask Beattie the name and phone number along with physical address of where their horses have been sent. In fact, I dare them to do this for the last 6 horses that have been retired. I didnât know that there was such a dire need for OTTBâs at the 4H club. Maybe someone should remind Beattie what Due Diligence means when it comes to retiring racehorses. Not much you can do when she has the support of PNGI and the HBPA is there? Iâll bet if you listed the last 50 horses Beattie retired you couldnât find 15 if you were Matlock.
Attention Horse ID Otto Solis, there is a Stock Trailer in your driveway to pick up the horses and take them to the 4H Club, please help the driver load them so the kids can get their new horses.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
I did find a horse, Valid Trick, that Beattie retired who is OK.

I actually remember that race â I watched 2 riders lose their irons out of the gate and couldnt regain them â rode the whole race without. Those of us who saw the break were just amazed that both riders stayed astride!
The tatoo number would have easily led the rescue to SB./DW as the owner
