We need pictures asap!

True. For the younger and fitter than I might find him a fun project. He didn’t seem like a difficult personality considering the environment he is in. A twenty or thirty something me would be greatly tempted. Sixty something me just hopes a really good rider picks him up and makes something of him.

At this rate we’ll need a new forum section for Bowie horses.

Yay! I’m so happy for him! (And you!) He was just way too nice to end up in a bad place.

Huzzah!

And I have to say, there are some good minded husbands around here. Either that or they’ve just capitulated, realizing it’s useless to try to talk the woman they love out of saving a cute horse.

I am pretty hardened, but this photo brought tears to my eyes. There’s something so touching about him going from Bowie to that deep bed of shavings. And he looks incredibly kind and also beautiful. Thank you both for getting him out of there. I hope he brings @Kinda_Kooky many years of joy!

Kinda Kooky said she wanted to make sure he felt safe and know he was loved. I was only able to put down 6 out of ten bags before he walked in from the run and immediately laid down. He slept and by golly between that the Jolly ball she sent, the GOOD cookies, fly masks, all the things, GREAT hay and feed… he knows he’s safe and loved 🥹 She has him spoiled from abroad haha

My husband is a big sweet, softy. He’s already getting the quarantine paddock mowed and checking fence line. He is fabulous when I bring home another creature. He was a bit sketchy on the goats, but loves them now.

He does have naming rights, so it might get interesting.

I think a DH mare was posted today. The ONLY experience I have with DH has been with Kinda Kooky’s boy (total fan of him) so I would definitely ask other people what to look for :joy: TBs, Andalusians and quarter are my jam. I just know you were looking for a mare!

Oh, I just looked at the Facebook page - he’s not on the website yet, but I am tempted to go pack the little dapple chestnut mini driving pony in the back of my Escape! If anyone wants a CUTE driving pony, go check him out.

And the Percheron colt just looks like a sweetheart.

If anyone is interested in a couple of TB colts there are a two at a Before the End of the Line in Ohio. $475 each - yearling and two year old.

Continuing to put on weight before he heads to New Mexico. He’s an absolute doll and I’m so sad (for me) that he’s a “temporary” here. Just a reminder that there are horses with good minds at Bowie :grimacing: eyes wide open for those that might be more work or need more experience but this guy here is so dang cool!

Is he slurping from the hose?
