I am, however, a real lady. I carry my flask in my pocket, not on the saddle. Sniff.

It’s been so cold out my flask is filled with Eau de Vie. Stand upwind because the fumes from the flask will knock you out cold.

Last time I checked I was. Actually, the beard has gotten bigger and bushier, and with the addition of the Top Hat I started wearing hunting, I look so 19th Century it’s scary-awesome. PLUS, I can’t read anything with my contact lenses in, so I acquired a reading monocle I wear on a cord, stowed in my vest pocket, when hunting. Very handy one handed operation to pull it out, pop in my eye, when I need to open combination locks on some of our gates. Very proper…

I’m blind as a bat. In that photo I’m squinting because I couldn’t tell if the whip was waving wildly at me to go after the hounds or was flipping me the bird. I’ll have to go hunting with Major Mark so I can borrow his monocle.

As for JSwan photo, I think she was squinting looking over at Wateryglen and wondering “is she really carrying a twig? Wait til I show the gals on COTH Hunting forum this!”

All jokes aside great horses and riders, looks like a fun fixture! And…after two weeks of ice and bitter cold on hunting days- which meant no hunting- it is going to be nearly 60 on Saturday so we’re hunting!! I’ve been out helping to walk hounds a couple times during this cold snap and I’m so looking forward to hunting again. My daughter is coming for her second foxhunt this weekend. She got the hunting bug in a huge way during her first hunt over her semester break.
