Here are my walls and the channel for removable boards between two stalls. The ventilation gaps were made by placing a 1" board scrap between each board before nailing. The metal board caps are that relatively inexpensive angled stuff with holes you can buy at Home Depot, screwed down with screws and washers. As you can see in the picture, any wood they can get their teeth on can get chewed (this is very tasty rough cut poplar wood). These stalls have held up for 20 years so far with only one broken board.
