I should change my horse’s name to Balthazar :lol::lol:.
Of the 6 horses I have had as an adult, I have kept the name of 2. One got killed by lightening (how’s that for luck), and the other I had to retire at 8. So IME keeping the original name has been bad luck!
I’ve changed the names of every horse I’ve ever owned.
The last horse I got- his registered name is Kyle and his barn name was Mike. I’m not even kidding. How horrible is that? LOL
His name is now Fawkes.
Cochise is an EXCELLENT name, my childhood horse was named Cochise and he was the best horse ever.
Everything a horse crazy teenage girl could want-fun personality, pretty pinto coat and enough ability to bring home more than his fair share of ribbons and trophies. They’ll never be another on like him.
Plus a friend of mine had a pony named Cochise and he was a jem. Not the prettiest pony in the world but he had the nicest gaits and could pole bend with the best of them. He was worth his weight in gold.
