Canine Brain Tumors

She reacts to anesthesia much like I do and slept most of yesterday afternoon and night. They also did lumbar tap on her to evaluate her spinal fluid, so she has a big bare spot on her back. I’ll get the results of both today…fingers crossed.

OK - just got off the phone with the vet (who I really like). They do not think she has a brain tumor, but she does have 4 lesions in her brain. It is thought to be evidence of an inflammatory brain disease - immune mediated or infectious causes most likely. CSF was unremarkable, other than elevated protein. She is being started on Pred, clindamycin, and azathioprine. We will just have to take things day by day and go from there! Not the best news, but certainly not the worst.

It could certainly be worse news!! Im an optimistic person, and have good feelings towards those medications resolving a lot of your pups issues

Sending good vibes your way, and hoping that you got positive results.
