Center Aisle Runs Perpendicular to Peak of Roof?

If someone is considering a shed setup and is where they don’t need serious winter protection, as in a fully enclosed barn, they may consider some of those wind screen protected sheds:

Wind screens can be very useful to give protection to working areas, as fronts of shedrow barns.

Those are very interesting! Do horses learn not to walk into them? I’m imagining my gelding rubbing his rump on that screen and not sure if the screen would survive. I think I saw an old thread where you posted a link for a screen covered arena? Is that a similar material?

I like the looks of a shedrow. Very cute. And very suitable for horses going in and out and having a covered porch. I think my vet would prefer a center aisle though! Nice to have a protected area to groom etc. for me too!

Horse probably doesn’t care much except to have a run on his stall. He doesn’t like being in a box for too long.

I also prefer a center aisle any day, but if someone wants a shedrow, those are more options.

 try to remember, IF you enclose the shed row…you can have that aisle. , and still have a porch/overhang! So its really what style you prefer, and where you want to situate it.
