Central VA Chriopractor

Can anyone recommend an equine chiropractor in the Central Virginia (Somerset- close to Charlottesville) area?

Thanks!

Dr. Tabby Moore at Blue Ridge Equine – not sure if she still travels “over the mountain” but she used to.

I second Tabby Moore- she works on my Willie and Orie - very good with the horses - first rate vet and lovely person.

Dr. Martha Moses. Best chiropractor I’ve ever used, hands down. I seriously considered shipping my horse five hours down there to her after I left VA.

Dr Anne Bonda at VA Equine Svcs in Monroe (near Madison Heights).

Anyone know of one that will come to SWVA?

Where in SW VA? Tabby lives near Lexington, the Valley Division of BREC is based near Staunton, and both vets travel up and down I-81. Not sure how far south she goes, but last time I talked to her, I’m pretty sure she was traveling to Roanoke occasionally.

Hi-
Pulling this thread out of the depths…

In need of a chiropractor (maybe one that also does some acupuncture work) in the Charlottesville area. Feel free to PM any thoughts as well.

Bump up-any one?

Thanks!

I hope she doesn’t mind, but look up poster cswoodlandfairy and PM her. I think she is in that area and should be able to shoot you a recommendation.

Thanks lachelle!

Allison Faber, DVM in Mechanicsville. She’s wonderful.

Traveled all the way to me for an emergency acupuncture treatment for my stallion, Boleem toward the end of his life and had foundered severely. 804-389-5929

Dr. Scott Anderson at Woodside Equine in Ashland, Dr Jim Yanchunis in Charlottesville and Dr. Stephen Dill from Remington all travel around the Charlottesville area and are excellent - google them for contact info

If Stephen Dill is still working in that area (I moved 8 years ago), he is top notch.

Our horses also highly recommend Stephen Dill

Yes, Dr. Dill was one of the first and real pioneer. I started using him in the late 80’s and all my friends thought I was nuts, as chiropractic for horses was pretty much unheard of. Great guy, too.

Dr. Robert Goldsmith. My horses love him.

I’ve also had great experiences with Allison Faber. I believe she’s based out of Richmond.

Just sent you a PM pinkeq, but I’ve used a couple mentioned above and my favorite by far is Dr. Carmen Franck Vaughan. She has truly been the only one that I’ve had great success with, won’t break the bank, and up to date on all the best medical information and tools. She is actually based out of Ameila, but does make her way over here and if she can’t make it to you will find a middle ground place that you can trailer to. I have done that as she is well worth it. She has made a world of difference in my horse and he no longer reverts back to how he was as he had with some others mentioned above.
