Chain saws - most powerful electric or battery preferably battery

My son prefers to use the Makita chainsaw over the gas Stihl. He has used it for quite a few limbs and trees. Some on the ground, some standing. It is the preferred one for when he is climbing trees and removing limbs. He says the balance of the saw is great, it doesn’t weigh as much as the smaller gas powered saw and WAY less than the big one, and it cuts through the wood with much more ease than the gas ones.

I would just get extra batteries and maybe get a charger that you can connect to a cigarette lighter or USB port to recharge batteries in a vehicle or UTV while you are getting it done.

The use the same charger, and can be put on the other one in a pinch. So I’d say yes, it’s still wise to stick with the same brand.

The 2.5ah will run the saw, just not for very long.

I have to edit this because I had the brand of chainsaw wrong. We have the Milwaukee brand.
