Changing ribbon "tail" direction on helmet...has anyone done this??

I suspect you are demonstrating that as you said, when hounds are working you have many better things to than examine your fellow hunters’ ribbons in detail.
Prob’ly so. Although coincidentally I just came across my first ASTM helmet from oh, mid-80s or so while looking for something completely different on a garage shelf. It has the single bow. (I’m a dinosaur so the COs are actually ‘new’ to me, haven’t owned one).

Well, I’ve never been to Toledo, Ohio. Let us resolve to meet there for a Courvoisier! Will I need the boa to keep my neck warm? Do they have good oatmeal raisin cookies there?

For guests, depends.
i think this would be a wise idea anyway.

I’m going to wear a tiara.
ME TOO

Turned the tails up and used a couple of stitches to hold it there.

THANKS!

Arg, how could I be SO stoopid. I know now.

Sorry, I just do not wear a velvet helmet anymore. Mine started to defuzz, and I got a new helmet, with no velvet. :stuck_out_tongue: I do understand the traditionalism of the ribbons. My helmet was black with black ribbons. I just never knew. Now I know.

Thanks so much for the picture. I was just totally, clueless, and totally was puzzled. This is really interesting. Now I will have to look at ribbons on helmets.

I just tack mine up with a stitch. I don’t try to turn the whole bow over.
