I have not heard alot of detail; perhaps someone else has. But what I did hear was that he and Bob Avalia were giving a cow horse demo at the NFR and he broke his leg during the demo. He was euthansized. He was only 12 and was retired in 2009 from competition, after having earned $300,000+.
