Update-well, rain has been a factor this past week so no ‘building’ yet. Materials were delivered. Correct materials were brought, and I had our building manager come out right after to assess the materials and make sure everything was brought, as well as look at some minor damages that were sustained during the delivery-small pieces that fell off some of the wood. We signed a Replace agreement for them to replace a column that was split, and a few pieces of wood to not be used in the barn (he assured me they deliver ‘extra’ pieces of wood for such an event),…so we’ll see.
Of course, it’s been raining nonstop on all the materials, which I was also told they don’t need to be covered,…so we are not. If they are ruined, it’s in our contract they will replace it all.
Wary, but so far, so good.
Ugh, so,…new question re: Cleary. How is their warranty working out for anyone having to use it?
Oh no! Did you get it built? What’s wrong?
I have a 36x48 barn fr Cleary built about 12yrs ago. They were great about building from my drawings, the building was built right and level. As they were finishing out the horse stalls inside though all of a sudden the progress stopped and couldn’t get anyone out. Finally called headquarters and turns out there must have been some serious issues in the NW because the manager was fired and the head guy flew out here to supervise the finishing of my barn. 12 years later there are zero problems (other than ones created by my animals). Friends in the area who built with other builder have condensation inside their barns and other issues. That said, crew was messy and I had to spend time picking up all the nails, metal pieces, etc.
