Coated High Tensile Wire vs. Four Board Wood Fence

I do have a cribber. He doesn’t crib on the fence (it gives too much) but he still cribs/tries to crib on my gate. :frowning:

For the person who asked about wood fencing whether painted or stained - we went with stain. It is guaranteed for 10 years and stain also self-primes and helps preserve the wood. It is much more expensive to apply because the first time it sucks into the wood. But, you don’t have to repeat it for years and years. We decided we have way better things to do than paint the fences every 2 years.

Also, we have several types of fencing which we’re starting to convert over, but the common denominator is very HOT electric. My horses won’t go anywhere near the fence.
