No splitting of the yarn.
with cobras, you braid it up or down or whatever you like, then you have to roll the braid up to its rightful position. (I actually band a butt on the bottom of all my braids. That in turn offers a really sturdy spot to sick my needle through when sewing in and out.)
After you roll the braid in place you stick your needle in the bottom portion middlish arra from front to back. Then I do a diagonal stick from left back to right front, then straight stick from right front to right back, the diagonal stick from right back to left front, (if your sticks make it through the rolled up banded area that’s rockin)
then I just cut the string with no knot.
When you split the thread that creates regular braids because you squish the hood.
