Oklahoma State’s D1 Equestrian Team is a female sport only as are all NCEA (NCAA) teams. My daughter was on the team from 2012-2016. It is because of Title IX. There has to be an equal number of scholarship for both men and women. There are currently 16 D1 and four D2 schools that participate
It is precisely because our goals change from time to time or all the time that one should make every possible effort to go to college: college teaches people how to change their minds. To think critically. To learn how to argue with evidence and informed conviction. To understand what we don’t know. If these past years living in America have taught us anything, let it be these things. Sometimes it is prohibitively expensive to attend college, but exhaust all your options before foregoing it.
