Colour help! Flaxen?

yep, she’s a flaxen! just a lighter chestnut. gorgeous!

She has a gene, or two, that restricts the melanin pigment from the mane and tail. There is still no test for the gene. Often after age 2, they will start to turn red, but not always. Usually the first place it will change, if its going to, is the forelock.
I have several this color, including a 22 year old Arabian stallion. His mane and tail are snow white and never darkened with age.
