Congress Time!

I miss Stallion Avenue as well but I think this is why Congress is still what it is. They are not afraid to ax things when they start to go south. They don’t keep things around for the sake of them.

And the organizers do listen to what the exhibitors tell them.

I went last weekend. Really enjoyed the cutting and reining. The cutting demo on Sunday was delayed because the classes were running late, but it was interesting seeing the top pros demonstrating different things.

I had so much fun at my first Congress! The apple dumplings were so good…
My team got 3rd and 5th for Stations and Judging and I was 9th individual in the stations. A very successful week.

Woohoo! Congratulations! I think I read there were 35 teams!

that is awesome

Congrats!! Stations was always my favorite part.

Having read this thread I wanted to watch the show live online.

They demanded my e-mail address, then told me it wasn’t valid.

Glad Devon and the Olympics don’t have red tape.

I shared two apple dumplings…

I had a great time at congress! I saw a bunch of pleasure classes and overall really liked the way the horses were moving. Saw some amazing lopers and only a few four beats or wogging. I always try and keep in mind that there are very nervous riders on these horses so you can’t judge every person or horse by one class!

I watched the yearlings in the super sale for a while and it was neat to study and try and figure out who would be a high seller. Sometimes I was right and sometimes I was wrong.

I didn’t even end up spending that much money! Hahah but it was cool to see all the vendors.

And the food, I ate way too much. But I don’t regret it

Overall I had an awesome congress experience!
