Constantly launched when jumping

I was going to earlier answer … learn how to land in your heel. Keeps your leg steady and your seat off the horse for one pickup stride. Vastly improves the horse’s ability to do their job with proper form. Practice over small cross poles.

And any instructor worth their salt would be using gymnastics, esp with beginners. Learn straightness, forward, balance, striding and form all at the same time. There’s a rhythm and a chute sets you up for success.

Everyone has commented about you, and its true, they are correct.
When i watch the video I see a horse that is really tight and braced in that shoulder/neck junction, heavy on the forehand, and she needs a little more dressage to teach her shoulders to be light and then it will be easier for you to work on your position and stay with her.

Well, I don’t say heels down anymore, I say heels forward. Because focusing on heels down I have found students over flexing in the ankles and bracing to achieve that. “Heels forward” gets them stretching through their calves and focusing on keeping the balance in the middle.

Heels forward, hips back!

That’s exactly what my brain found helpful thinking heels forward … or as I say to myself hips back show your heels/foot to the jump( a simplistic exaggeration but it works for me)
