Yes they are from the same stamm, but hardly related.
Your Mare:
Cassini I/Acorado/Corleone/Lester/Lorenz/Fax I/Nautilus xx . The closest ancestor is Halali, the Fax I mare. This is 5 generations away. Hard to find a connection.

Thanks.
Once I started to really explore the horse telex data (and a helpful email from Nick), things started to make sense

Tim or Nick - Does the Holstein Verband publish their recommendations on stallions regarding mare types they have found that work best through foal and stallion/mare inspections? And/or a list of generalized traits the stallion tends to produce and/or improve upon? Iām just starting to do more study on Holstein (I have been more Hano or Old to this point), but I have a new jumping mare with some Hol blood way back and I was considering putting her to a Holstein stallion - not to hijack this thread, just wondering if the Verband publishes any sort of this information that could also help the OP as well as others looking at potential Hol stallions for their program.[/QUOTE]
I called Dr Nissen a couple of times, he is very helpfull and has great (stemm and breeding) knowledge. They do not have some kind of sophisticated system helpfull in breedingchoices, as for instance the KWPN has.
There is hwever a valuable source of data on the net and it consists various aspects of breedingvalues, it is updated once a year.

Correct, they donāt do it now, but they will work on this so that they can help newcomers to the Holsteiner breed. There was recently an evening about the future from the Holsteiner Verband/horse and they made very clear that they will provide more information and help.
We second Catoki, and suggest Jaguar Mail (SF) (will give you more blood, some Alme without hotness) as well as Liocalyon for your Contender mare. Lio will increase carefulness (Cor de and Sacramento Song), adds another cross to Ladykiller, and will likely give you a very good looking Holsteiner offspring that you can easily sell, or keep. Any of these crosses will most likely jump considerably more than 1.2 M with added carefulness. Have fun breeding your mare and donāt get too restricted in just reproducing the past. You have some interesting choices for her.
Iāve bred my Contender mare to my stallion Presidio and gotten stallion candidates 2 years in a row. Beautiful horses and movers. Both jump anything in front of them.
Presidioās damline goes back to mare Fusion who with a large number of jumpers including Olympic jumpers coming from the line.

You canāt reasonably suggest anything as you donāt know the mare , nor have you likely laid eyes on her , nor do you know anything about the family she comes from.
Your suggestion of Liocalyon could be catastrophic to the top line of this mare as he is out of a Calypso II mare and Contender is a Calypso II son. Please stop making suggestions to folks when it is absolutely apparent you have no real breeding knowledge of what you are suggesting.
