“Correct Dressage Schooling” Facebook page

I know someone who starts horses for a living and she definitely has taken some hard knocks to the noggin resulting in short term memory loss. I have told her things over and over and over and she just doesn’t retain information. On the other hand, she does her job without a helmet, so…

I hope we get guardian caps for equestrian sport–it takes up 30% of impact-- NFL Players Will Now Be Allowed to Wear Protective ‘Guardian Caps’ in Games (si.com) I wear an air vest every ride because I want to protect my cervical spine. I wear it in 95 degree weather, even (and wish WISH they would make it in a light grey or something other than black!) In two years, it has not had to discharge, but I still wear it. TIme to get it serviced.

I’ve been in his group for years and I’ve never thought about it like that, but you’re right, he’s always so damn miserable about everything. I think he’s gone through some personal problems lately which might explain some of the recent moods, but he’s been a grumpy, miserable and angry bastard forever. He obviously finds no joy in horses, or lecturing people in how to ride them, so I’m guessing it’s just a low key buzz about being the boss of a group of women who fall at his feet that keeps him going at this point.

I honestly think he needs mental health support in the real world, not a core of women who enable this constant online grimness that is obviously bringing him zero happiness. Get him off the internet and find him an old horse, a pasture ornament (please don’t ride it, Allan), that he can love on and look after and maybe he can rediscover the joy in horses that the rest of us have.

Thanks so much! Maybe a light blue would be cooler than the black.
