Cost of a AQHA youth all around horse.

Sorry this is late to reply but this is my experience. I ride with a AQHA trainer that has had numerous world champions. Western all around horses, esp those works level in trail, horsemanship, and western riding are some of the most expensive out there

a good friend of mine in the barn just turned down 150,000 for her horse. Top 10 world show Jr. Trail. In her first year showing regular amateur and second year in qh she is qualified for the am world in trail, horsemanship, eq, showmanship, and performance geldings. And they are adding in horsemanship

my gelding is one year older, finished eq, horsemanship, hus, and showmanship, was top 10 am hus last yr and top 15 eq. Sound and no maintenance and no bad habits. I can’t get him sold for 40,000 and just dropped his price significantly for the world show in November.

This is all is so dependent on what classes they do, soundness, and how easy they are to ride. Plus how competitive they are in the class

What region you show in will also affect the price of a horse.

yes, in the early 1990s I was offered low six for our kid’s horse who was a multiple disciplined proven horse
