MVP, was the saddle fine before and it just changed to start rolling?

You are correct and it is one of their models that uses their hoop tree. My first thoughts are you might just need an adjustment with the change of season. I am guessing your horse is wider or narrower depending on weight or coat changes from the season. You probably would not notice it on other horses, but since he is round it already has the tenancy to roll.

Yes, that is what is happening. MareHead is sausaging out further in her back, especially in that section from the stirrup bars to the middle of the seat. At least, when I put the saddle on her, that’s where I felt the roll originate.

I was owed a reflocking by my saddler and had that done yesterday. Just tamping down some of the flocking near the center of the panels/gullet in that area seems to have done the trick. Finger’s crossed. I’m not sure you can easily widen the gullets on these monoflap saddles and I’ll bet that would be the best fitting fix for this mare.
