CWD saddles - are they really all that awesome?!?

Why on earth would you give a flying dog what someone like that says?

It’s not that I really care what she says. Its that her actions have left a negative impact on the brand for me. So when I think of the brand all I can think of is that horrible person.

I’m happy for you that you don’t understand, that you have never been bullied to the point where that persons actions have ruined something for you.

Wait, let me get this straight. You were bullied because a barnmate asked your opinion on saddles, took your recommendation, bought one, and then offered to let you ride in it. Someone buying themselves a saddle is not bullying you. And then offering to let you ride in it? Jeez (sarcasm alert), what a BITCH.

Her wording sounds non-ideal, and yeah she was somewhat rubbing it in your face, I agree, but that doesn’t reflect poorly on the SADDLE BRAND. To the extent that she was rude, it reflects poorly on the person being rude. Someone you doesn’t like buys a GAP sweatshirt and now you can’t walk into the store in the mall. That’s on you. I guess you’re going to have to swear off a whole lot of things because, guess what, people you don’t like own things.

Sincerely, you’re going to have a hard time getting through life if you get this emotional over things like what brand of saddle someone else buys. If you focus on you, who cares what other people do. Your reaction is not a normal, adult reaction to someone else buying something you happen to want.

I bought mine brand new in 2007 and it was $3,300 at the time (maybe $3,200).

[QUOTE=Anna.m;n10400329]
A CWD was my dream saddle before they were the IN saddle. I had ridden in a clinicians saddle and loved it, it was super comfy and fit my horse perfectly. I found it much comfier then the Anteres.
But, as I was saving up for my dream saddle, a horrible person at my barn asked what’s your dream saddle
so I told her
then she went out and bought one for her horse, which is fine, I was glad she took my recommendation. But once it came in she said “do you want to try it? I know you’ll never get one yourself.” So, this horrible woman has ruined the brand for me.QUOTE]

That’s really bizarre, just because someone else let you ride in her saddle, it ruined the brand for you?

When I was in high school (a very high end all girls prep school), another girl made a comment to me about how I could never possibly afford a Louis Vuitton. That’s not bullying - it’s taunting. Joke is on her - I have several now.

Some people take it as motivation and go on to prove that person wrong, and others I guess just give in and give up. Why do that? It only hurts you.
