How is this playing out? About to do the same with the extract same rep.
Literally 100% of the reps from different high end saddle companies Iāve met in the past 10 years have been awful. They have also been extremely rude to some of my clients, even making rude comments to a little girl getting custom tall boots about the size of her calf.
Youāre better off having them bring you used saddles and checking the fit yourself IMO
Good reps do exist, but it pays to check their reputation and experience before ordering. The Voltaire rep in my area is excellent, with 20 or so years of experience with saddle fitting. I also had a good CWD rep before they started having issues with a ton of turnover and new people.
I had a similarly bad experience with trying to modify a CWD before switching to my Voltaire Palm Beach. My saddle fit well when I got it. Eventually bought a new horse, it didnāt fit him, and two CWD reps insisted they could fix it including having new panels sent from France to be swapped out at the Florida workshop. It was a huge ordeal and didnāt totally fix the old problem, created a new problem, and made the horse back sore. And it made my saddle harder to sell because it made the fit no longer like my original pro panels. So my personal experience is that CWD isnāt great at the tweaks if there is an issue, and in part it is because of how the panels integrate (in contrast, Voltaireās panels are configured differently and Iāve had good luck with repaneling through Voltaire). But to the OP, there are a lot of stories of bad experiences with trying to get CWD to make a custom order right when it shows up and doesnāt fit. I hope the rep stands behind it and can fix it for you, because it is largely going to come down to the rep.
Hi There- Can I ask where you are located and your Voltaire rep? I am fed up with CWD⦠and want to make the switch, I thinkā¦
If that question is directed at me, my rep is based in Georgia, but they are limited to the territory they serve, so it would depend on where you are located as to whether she could help you.

I donāt know how others feel, but I was a bit dismayed to see posts that Iāve written (and many others from COTH members) put on a private website with the purpose of discrediting a CWD rep. In my case, I had merely posted a blog post from a friend who had difficulties with her CWD order and most of the other statements are about the company, but not a specific rep. I am all for sharing experiences but the context in which these posts are curated is misleading.
I agree that was really an uncool thing to do.
It would be one thing for that person to post her own experiences and then a LINK to the thread here so people could see the thread in its original context. Taking something posted here and plopping it into her website with no explanation is inappropriate.
( Iām also a friend of that blogger!)
I thought the mod came through and deleted the links to the website where she was posting all the screencaps from here?
It it still visible it just says [view ignored content]. Who can resist looking? But more to the point, deleting the link does not change the fact that she has quoted multiple peoplesā experiences in a misleading way. While their ārealā names are not shown, there are plenty of people who will know who we all are.
Right, I thought I had seen a post where the mod came through and removed the link. Maybe Iām dreaming!
Maybe the @Moderator_1 has the threads confused as well, because there are two threads where that link is still visible to anyone who clicks to see the hidden content.
You have provided zero evidence that you got the saddle and returned it.
I texted my local rep to let her know about your libelous/slanderous web site on which you attribute unrelated complaints to your rep.
You went to a lot of trouble and expense to create a website in order to impugn her personal reputation and not the companyās.
Iām sure that was a deliberate choice on your part to keep CWD off your back.
Your actions are crazy and scary.
