I empathise with your problem and my remedy will entirely depend upon your sleeping position. Firstly let me explain, that for years i also has saddle sores when ever i rode and as i now move into my twilight years i ride much less often if at all, i found that the best relief from the obvious pain of pressure sores is to remove the pressure and this is where your sleeping position comes into play. If you are a fetus position sleeper and depending Upon your length and girth of your legs you will need to place one to three pillows between your legs to give you a good 37 degree angle, If you are a tummy sleeper (This is the second most humerus position) as it requires the use of five pillows in the form of a T, two across or under you waist and three underneath your buttocks this will as in the first position alleviate the pressure from the areas that have become inflamed. Lastly although the position may seem a little comical it is unfortunately a quite expensive method as you be required to purchase at least eight extra pillows, you stack all the pillows into two neat piles of 3 pillows each with the seventh on top in the middle and the eight pillow placed between your legs, you now lie on your back with your legs elevated over the pillows resembling a dying fly this although will work or has done for me on many occasions as i am also a back sleeper and if it does unfortunately not alleviate the pain you could give up horse riding and open a market stall selling pillows and second hand underwear.

People hate plain silicone for some mysterious reason, but it’s safe, cheap, and incredibly slippery. I think it’s just gone “out” because if you use it on your hair all the time, it dries it out (but does keep the snarls at bay!) Buy the at your local drug store in the personal care/family planning aisle. Won’t heal them but the best there is when it comes to chafing.

Well, just to keep adding twists – that Monistat Chafing cream? It is the best primer under foundation. Better and cheaper than Smashbox and the others…
