Deceptive site ahead
I JUST had it happen, even after clearing the cache, and this is on a college computer that clears the history almost every night. I did a google search “chronicle horse forum” and when I click the blue title to link to the site it took me to the myfilestore site. I cleared the cache and tried again - same thing.

This was with Firefox on a computer running Windows 7.

I can copy/paste the url and it works fine.
I’m running on windows 10 and google chrome since i cleared cache no trouble. Can get on here through the bookmark or googled. Maybe firefox is the trouble?? don’t know though. Might be windows 7 too again don’t know. I did the upgrade to windows 10 here a few months ago. Sorry i’m no help.

Curious–happening to me too.

All three browsers (FF, IE, Chrome) on Win 10. Even after clearing caches for all.

I never access that way–always via bookmark–and have had no problems otherwise.

Huh. Experiment:

Google Chronicle Forums. Click link. Get myfilestore page.

Clear cache. Close window.

Reopen. Google Chronicle Forums. Click link. Get myfilestore page.

Back to search results. Click link. Get COTH.

Close window. Reopen. Google COTH. Click link. Get COTH

Close window. Reopen. Clear cache. Close window.

Reopen. Google COTH. Click link. Get myfilestore.

Clearing the cache seems to RETRIGGER myfilestore the first time the search results link is clicked. Only triggers it once until the cache is cleared again.

Christa, that might be why you keep seeing it. University is clearing cache daily.

Had it happen to me earlier on a Mac using Chrome browser. Did a google search for something and clicked on the link to a thread on here - took me to the myfilestore page. I wanted to recreate it so I could pass on here, so I went back to the google search page and clicked the same link again and it went to the proper COTH thread page.

This could be, but I have no control over that. I just copy/paste the link now.

We’re having the tech folk look into this issue. Seems we’re not in the clear yet. Thanks so much for keeping us posted!

Mod 1

I’m still getting sent to the fake site. I’m now also getting g the wait 30 seconds before replying error on every post.

My cellphone runs Opera and gives me a warning for every page change, which I click past. The laptop with Firefox isn’t having any issues.
