I’m so sorry for your loss. It is scary, especially when insulin isn’t managing the issue and we are helpless. I’m glad you got some extra time with her before the end, sometimes that is all we can ask for.

I’m just sharing what experts (NIH, Cornell) in diabetic pet medicine suggest are best practices.
If an animal suffers related issues due to sub optimal care, at least I’ve offered my $.02.
Which is what we do on these forums, share our experience, knowledge and advice.

Testing, which is cheap, safe and easily done is a way to confirm things are going well or see they aren’t before it’s too late and irreversible damage is done.
My pets deserve that.
