Lots of fun to watch. We also have crossover with our hunt and Pony Club.
Agree with others, you’ll get a mix of non-horsey spectators, other riders and polo players. The polo players will use a lot of the same stuff you sell and the non-horsey folks will find a new place to buy cool boots.
Crowds vary wildly based on advertising and price point to enter. The local club (outside of DC) that plays on grass used to let you in for free, new management is charging $50! For a regular old game!!!:eek::eek: Not sure how many spectators they’re getting because I’m busy at the arena club not spending money:yes: However my parents club in Hawaii charges $5 or $10 and gets loads of spectators and lots of local sponsors. A lot of those spectators are ranch/rodeo people due to the location and some are just bored with the beach I guess.
After reading all these responses I want to go to a polo match, too! So, “yes, once they read about it on the CoTH forum.”
(Hmm, bostonpolo.org, ten bucks to get in, Boston vs. Newport is in a couple of weeks. I’ll just studiously ignore the intro polo clinic they’re offering on the 30th.)
