After using both Shavings and Straw…I switched to Woody Pet pPellets and wouldn t go back…once wet fluffed and activated it’s non slip,on my Rumbar floors…manure has all,the moisture sucked out and picks up easly…urine is like clumping cat litter and bonus it doesn t swirl and fly around while traveling…Best stuff ever…and I also sprinkle some Lemon disinfectant on it at shows and it keeps the flies down…
Shavings, shavings, shavings! I use a bag or a bag and a half depending on how many horses and how long it will be. I pick them out each time I use them and throughout the day but I don’t totally replace each time.
Thanks for all the responses! My trial so far has gone well with using shavings. I got the ‘Beaver Bag’ large flake ones and they don’t fly around at all. Horsie seems happier in there and it certainly looks safer! I will be going this route for a while!
