Try the Nexium protocol. When I moved him home, I did Ulcerguard for a few days, and I remembered how well he ate during that time period. So, we are now in week 2 of 3 pills a day.

Make the switch to Triple Crown Senior. Also in week 2 of transition.

Try soaking/wetting his feed.
Results are that he is cleaning up all of his feed! At once! He really seems enthusiastic about the TC, and he should be completely switched over next week. I add hot water right before feeding, and wow, he’s even pawing waiting for me to stir it up. He finishes his breakfast and his dinner is gone before my last 10:00 PM night check. He’s still not enthusiastic about hay, but if he cleans up his TC, I’m happy to increase the amount to whatever he needs. I don’t know whether to attribute it to the feed change or the Nexium or both, and I probably should have made one change at a time, but Winter Is Coming, and I didn’t want to wait.
