Dog stroke/vestibular syndrome--UPDATE!

Thanks guys! The surgery went well; she’s home recovering… she’s having a tough time with the anesthesia, still very groggy and not wanting to move much, but hoping it’ll wear off soon and that she’ll finally be more comfortable as it heals up. It sounds crazy that I’m so happy for my dog to lose an eye, but compared to all the other dire and scary things I thought it was likely to be, and after struggling to pinpoint what was causing her pain for so long, I’m just glad we can finally do something to make her happy again.

Think of it this way - she has another eye. It is not like it was a part that she does not have a spare of. Actually, even a blind dog gets on quite well in their own environment.

Give her a pet from me.

I am so glad it was something treatable and your dog is on the road to recovery!!
