So just got home and she peed everywhere inside her playpen. She was taken out 3 times throughout the day bit still made a mess. I guess she was scared to be alone.
Tomorrow we are going to try and leave her in her crate between trips outside and see if that is better.

Yes, an xpen/play pen is not big enough for a dog not to deliberately pee in one area, and sleep in another. A crate would work better, certainly for now - because they will not want to sleep in their pee. One of my dogs learned to lift his leg at about 10 weeks so he could pee outside of his crate. Smart dogs are hard!
Have you ruled out a UTI or puppy vaginitis? If crating is not significantly better, I’d have her checked just to be sure. You will be fighting a losing battle if she has a UTI or vaginitis.
Those pee pads often are scented to encourage the dog to use them. So she might also be responding to that.
I used to work at a doggy daycare, and you seriously have to be careful with which one you choose, if you do go that direction. The one I worked at was privately owned, and separated dogs by size and play style. We had a few ‘pair dogs’, which were dogs that needed to come to daycare, but they were too aggressive to be in a group. They had a few pals that we would rotate for them to play with for 15 minute intervals throughout the day.
I don’t think it’ll go well leaving your 5 m/o pup alone for that long. Mine is now 9 m/o and I still won’t leave him alone for 10 hrs. If I know I’ll be in the field all day for work, I usually have a friend whose dog adores mine bring him over to her house to play, or at least ask a friend to let him out in the middle of the day for me. If I had the option of doggy daycare where I live he’d 100% be there every day I was in the field for work, or needed to be gone for an extended period of time. He is insanely destructive when he’s left alone and bored.
Just want to clarify, our neighbor is letting her out at 10 am 12 pm and 2 pm so she is not alone all day. Will update on how it went today in her crate.
