Dressage Coats - Those of a different color.
I keep trying to find a chocolate coat which actually fits me. The Pikeurs are too long waisted, and most will be unless they come in petite. I end up looking like I have a growth on my back where the fabric bulges…
I have a Caldene one you are welcome to try…

In 2015, I showed in a Black Pikeur Skarlett with a Bronze collar…

In 2016, I showed in a Chocolate Brown Pikeur Sarissa II. I love it!!

I used to ride my palomino in navy, but my old trainer was super conservative. I love the chocolate that you have in the first pic, but I always wanted a pretty eggplant coat (I had an eggplant plaid saddle pad I used for schooling, and it looked amazing on him!) (:

I wear a “French Blue” jacket (kind of a lighter grayish blue), with a line of crystals on the pocket. I love different colors - I long for a burgandy or green coat next!

Here is a pic:

Can you tell me the brand on this coat?

I have one the same color and I love the way it looks on all of my horses, but mine is a couple of years old and they seem to have discontinued it! Would love to get another one!

It is an Animo - got it on clearance through Divoza, otherwise, it is a pricey coat  They have some GREAT colors - just watch for sales.

And check out some of the British shops. They have great prices and shipping really isn’t that bad.

Just saw this on Facebook. Burgandy coat with brown boots. I think it looks very nice! https://goo.gl/photos/su37xY8dygPkKART7

This makes me feel better about wanting the burgundy as my boots are brown.

This thread is useless without pictures and I really need help deciding what to ride my light colored palomino in! He ranges from this to this (we jump/event to cross train!) depending on how much he needs to be clipped.

Come on, people. Step it up! ;)
Plum all the way!!!

This is a really nice combo!

I have a green hunt coat that I wore for my first show that still, miraculously, fits me really well. I’ve been toying with the idea of replacing the buttons with silver and maybe having a fourth button added, since there seems to be enough space at the bottom. Does this seem too bright for dressage? I think it’s a great shade for my horse, but I don’t ride well enough to want to stand out too much.

DO IT. very nice on you and your horse. I don’t think you even need to add a 4th button. it fits nicely as is.

I have a wine/plum jacket with black scroll work on the collar and cuffs. It is just lovely if I do say so myself!! I don’t have a photo account, and no facebook to post pics. I do have it in the video posted on the summer sizzler thread. I have a liver chestnut horse and I think it looks lovely with him:yes:

I’m all about embracing the colour!! I think it can be quite tasteful.

i have a bright sapphire blue Equiline jacket:

http://www.equiport.co.uk/products/riding-wear/ladies-show-jackets/hazel-competition-jacket--royal-blue-el07/

and a KEP in the same blue with a mother of pearl front panel. ive not seen a single other soul with this jacket or hat for dressage yet.

I have a navy blue jacket with light blue lining and a cream collar. My helmet and stirrups are slate-grey.

Thanks!

Does anyone have a link to where I might find a nice plum/eggplant (not burgundy) dressage coat? I’d love to get one for next year as I think it would look nice on both my very dark bay horse and my plain bright bay and I need a new short coat for next year.

My shadbelly (which I hope to wear for the first time in October) is a very lovely dark grey with a windowpane design in the fabric, silver collar with green piping.

I too currently have a navy coat, but when my 3 year old chestnut gets to the point he can show, I’m dying to get a hunter green one–I think it would look amazing with his coat color.
It will!!!

Horseware Competition Jacket in Berry- GORGEOUS !!
It comes in black and blue, and I just saw recently that it’s available in green as well now- at an awesome price

I showed in this jacket this summer and had more compliments that I could count!

https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13507080_10201658063529011_2132740404444623366_n.jpg?oh=d6f9e9ea21a0987f326318e1794f23fc&oe=584B6EBE

I’ve gone blue this year… helmet, jacket & boots. Still conservative but a little more interesting (and on my coloring, more flattering) than basic black. Oh, and the coat is a short tailcoat - the Fairplay Bea - so also a little different than my regular coat. I really like it and have gotten compliments on it.
