We HAVE been all through this. But this is the freestyle, not a test.
The scores are not really for ‘each movement’ in the freestyle, in the sense of every incident of piaffe, it will count EVEN LESS here, the piaffe was shown many other times, you will see. It will affect the general stuff more this time, the piaffe score less.
And when you see the score, think, she was probably going to get OVER 80% without that blip.
But now it is a problem for the horse’s future. Unless they can be sure it is something only caused by this venue. Even if it is not once a mistake is made, it is far, far more likely to happen again. This is what killed Balkenhol with Goldstern. It started happening again and again. Once it was established it would not go away.
That is just how horses are. Once a mistake is made, you always, always live in dread of it.
Steffen is good. Wish he was a little quieter. Making some good choices, though.
He can’t catch Heike, though. I don’t think so.
I think Kemmer’s scores were too high. Sorry to the experts but that was a blah test with lots of problems and very few wow moments. The white pony was better.
