Dressage Horse 'Types', Your Definition of Beautiful

Unfortunately it wont play :frowning:

Hello there.

I have a Friesian and I am also very partial to Iberian breeds. Now just for reference, I do not think that Friesians make great dressage horses. I own one, and have ridden plenty and they are not easy to ride, and have all sorts of tricks to make one believe that all is well. I do however love the breed and their temperaments, and I work double time to make up for my guys shortcomings.

I think every horse can do dressage, as it is a means to strengthen and increase flexibility. I look at dressage as the means to make the horse able to carry a rider in a healthy and dignified manner. Not all horses go up the levels, but then again not all riders want to. So to me find your perfect equine partner, use dressage to make him fit and bend like a noodle, and take it form there.

Equine Trainer you hit the nail on the head. There is something disturbing about a horse that hates doing what it does. It simply shows, but then again how does one ignite that sparkies?

Hmmm. Not sure why the imbedded file isn’t working on my direct website

here is the direct link to the video hosting site (seems to be working)

Wow, she really was something else. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck with her foal.

My alltime favorite is the Trakehner stallion of the late Dr. Rhiner Klemke, Biotop!!! Sorry I don’t have a photo but he is so beautiful and his color divine. Handsome!!!
