I like a very narrow twist, and have a Prestige Helen dual flap for one horse who is more a of a medium build, and the fit is perfect for me. The other horse is quite wide, and I have a Prestige D1 monoflap for him; the fit is also excellent for me.
I tried a Prestige Passion monoflap saddle and the twist was way too wide for me, so they’re not all built the same.
Before your injury, did you have a saddle that fit you perfectly? How was the twist on that? I can appreciate that your therapist does not want you to have your hips any more open than necessary, but doubt that that can be achieved by riding in a twist that’s narrower than your pelvis is built for.
