Dressage Trips / Riding Vacations? Anyone done one?

I went to Alcaica years ago when I was schooling PSG+ at home. At times I was a bit bored. Then I asked for a different instructor, and told them what I wanted (which was to not school simply SI and HI all day), and had some fantastic rides. I think some of these places have GREAT trainers, who end up frequently teaching below their pay grade. But they are also very responsive to guests’ needs, and want to give you what you are looking for.

That being said, if you are already schooling all (or most ) of the GP at home, I don’t know that it would be all that interesting - I would probably spend the money to take my horse to a BNT for a week of intensive training, instead!
