Dressing my mare

Decided my palomino needed a color. So far she’s only been dressed in gray. Here is her new look: (le mieux’s summer sale)lm-loiredressage-classic-rioja-hr

I love your eye for fashion! I’d also like to suggest that, as a couple of folks mentioned above, if the saddle is slipping, it does not fit correctly. I strongly suggest seeing a good saddle fitter. I used to use breastplates and try different pads to get my saddle to stay in place, and when I finally went to a saddle fitter and got a saddle that fit my horse, it was like a miracle! The saddle just stays in place. And the horse was more comfortable.

Thank you for the compliment, but it’s really not me. It’s pretty easy to make a good looking mare look good

Thanks for that sage advice! I took us (me and mare) to a Schleese fitting. Got some good information and some kinda questionable info. Have reached out to a saddle fitter person who is going to help me. Saddle is not that far off according to the Schleese peeps. Just a bit long and too wide in the pommel and to narrow in the cantle panels. BUT…my mare is not showing any compromise of movement nor showing discomfort. So, i’m not in a huge hurry. And we are not showing yet…
