Yes, I audited a Hilda Gurney clinic a couple years ago and she said she starts all her horses in a drop. I don’t like how low the traditional drops tend to be over the nose cartilage, so I’ve opted for Micklem, Fairfax and PS bridles, which are designed to put the top of the noseband higher, while still having better geometry for the strap going under the chin than what a flash offers.
