In 2013, all the braiders at WEF were taking layers of precautions. Separate sets of tools for each barn, cleaning of supplies between horses, changing clothes between barns, stepping in foot baths. No one wants to be the vector for spreading such a dangerous virus.
Would add that an N95 should be worn. Until proven otherwise, it is possible to transmit animal virus thru our own nasal secretions. I worked with research mice and there was strict restrictions in being in other facility due to this issue
I am surprised no one is talking about the well-known eventing rider who had a vet falsify documents so that she could fly her horses from California to Ocala. She was also at Thermal and showed her horses at Fresno before going to Ocala.
well youāre the firstā¦pleaseā¦tell us more
if it spreads to Ocalaā¦they will know who to go after
Well, she obviously doesnāt care about her horses or anyone elseās. She is in a lot of trouble. She was in tent 36 in thermal.
and their name is? We have a load going to Aiken next month. I think we might be cancelling.
No one should be moving their horses right now. It is too dangerous.
What ādocumentsā would be falsified?
Can we please start naming the names of professionals who are careless with the health and well being of horses?
Not sure why people wonāt post names here, but there are names on the thread at horseshowdiva.com
HITS OCALA or WEC OCALA??
what event are they entered in at Ocala? I donāt know how to creep hunter/jumper things outside of Canada hahaha
She went to a private barn in Ocala apparently. Did not go to show grounds.
federal/ state health certificate needed for interstate transport
I couldnāt figure out the name. I have a friend in Ocala in the eventing world. I hope she is able to stay away from this person.
Sorry, I should have specified. I havenāt seen anything there about eventers, but there are a lot of H/J names.
Luckily, I think most eventers in Ocala have their own farms rather than stay at show stabling.
Thank you! By the way, I loved your post up thread. Iād ride w you if you were close!
Oh thank you, thatās so kind! I do it differently than a lot of places - only time will tell if that will be wildly successful.
Did the vet knowingly falsify the documents ?
Has anyone in the know reported this vet to credentialling authorities? He should be stripped of his license for knowingly putting horses at risk.
